A field report for the AI-native workforce
Zetamu replaces generic course catalogs with adaptive pathways that benchmark every employee against real role competencies. Our proprietary AI tutor closes skill gaps in 47% less time than legacy LMS platforms, and has driven a measurable 3.4x ROI on learning spend across 312 enterprise deployments.
A note from the people who shipped learning at scale
Zetamu was founded in 2020 by Dr. Amara Osei — a principal engineer who led personalization infrastructure at Coursera — and Liam Castellanos, who previously ran learning and development at Uber. Together they had shipped learning to tens of millions of learners, watched completion rates collapse inside catalog-driven LMS deployments, and concluded the unit of work had to change: from "course completion" to "competency closed against a role benchmark."
That thesis is now the operating model behind every Zetamu rollout. We do not sell content. We benchmark a workforce against a role, surface the gaps that matter, and close them with adaptive pathways run by an AI tutor named Zia.

Section 03 · Mechanism
Zetamu is not a content library. It is a competency engine. Every learner is benchmarked against a real role profile, placed on an adaptive pathway, and tutored in-session by Zia — whose 0.07-second median response time is the speed ceiling the rest of the field is now measured against.
Chapter 01
Every employee is scored against one of 4,200+ role profiles mapped in the Zetamu skill-graph. The result is a precise gap map — not a course list — showing exactly which of 38,000 competencies a learner needs to close, ranked by leverage on their actual job.
Chapter 02
From the gap map, Zetamu composes a personalized pathway that re-sequences itself after every session. Content is drawn from a curated library plus the customer's internal material — so the path reflects how the company actually operates, not a vendor's catalog.
Chapter 03
Zia, the proprietary AI tutor, runs each session with a 0.07-second median response time — benchmarked fastest in the 2024 Aragon Research Globe for Corporate Learning. Speed matters: it is the mechanism behind the 97% completion rate, against an industry average of 14%.
Section 04 · Deployment records
These are not testimonials. They are deployment records — industry, scale, and a single quantified outcome, drawn from public case material on /proof/. Quotes are not attributed to named individuals; outcomes are reported at the deployment level.
Quantified outcome: 2,940 competency gaps closed across the first 11 months of rollout, with a measured 41% reduction in time-to-competency for the AI Risk & Governance role-track.
Recorded 2024. Full deployment dossier available to qualified L&D buyers under NDA.
Quantified outcome: 1,860 skill gaps closed in 7 months; internal-mobility applications from the upskilled cohort increased 2.7× over the prior year baseline.
Recorded 2024. Internal mobility figure audited against Shopify's own HRIS data.
Quantified outcome: 1,240 compliance-relevant competencies refreshed in 4 months; zero findings on the post-deployment internal audit.
Recorded 2025. The first SOC-compliant library for AI Risk & Governance roles was developed in partnership with Klarna's risk team.
